Welcome!

WESTERN FARM WORKERS ASSOCIATION (WFWA) was founded in 1983 in Stockton, located in San Joaquin County, and has expanded to five counties in the San Joaquin Valley. We are a free and voluntary, unincorporated private membership association of farm workers, seasonal workers and others who are low income, uniting to end our poverty conditions. Our membership organizing drive is steadily growing. We are 100% volunteer run and independent of government funding.

Two volunteers holding clipboards, one wearing a straw hat and the other wearing sunglasses, talk to two women standing in the grass outside apartments. The man with sunglasses tilts his clipboard so one of the women can read what is on it.

Membership is open to anyone who is, has been or may in the future be employed in farm work or other types of employment not recognized by the national labor laws. It is only through the constant efforts of the membership that WFWA will finally be able to end the brutal conditions that confront farm and seasonal workers living in the San Joaquin Valley.
